People’s Climate March Sept. 21

22 08 2014

Time flies — we’re almost one month away from making history with the People’s Climate Mobilisation across the planet.

We are excited to see so many of you getting together to organise and join events in your communities. Events are streaming in on the event map from all around the world – from the Philippines to France, Burundi to Brazil – this is going to be huge!

And huge is what we need it to be in order to show the heads of state attending the Climate Summit in New York in September that we demand Action, Not Words on climate – we are standing up in our communities, to organise, to build power, to confront the power of fossil fuels, and to shift power to a just, safe, peaceful world.

Which is exactly what the below video is about – we, the people, are going to make history on climate change, again.Click on the image below and watch the video:

Can you share this video with your friends and help us make this weekend even bigger?

Now is the time we get everyone, everywhere onboard to bend the course of history. With less than a month left, we need as many people as we can to start or join local actions to send a clear message to world leaders: we need to break free from the shackles of the fossil fuel industry in order to address the climate crisis. And to do that, we need to act – together.

Onwards,

Eduardo, Hoda, Mahir, Payal, and Will for the whole 350.org team

PS: Are you joining an event on September 20-21? Click here to find one near you. No events nearby? It’s not too late to organise your own!
