Voice of the People Tour
Town Hall Meeting

Hear presentations. Ask questions. Speak your mind.

Wednesday, May 14, 2014, 7 PM
Bonar Law High School
197 Main Street, Rexton
  • SWN Resources Canada is planning to construct four wellpads this year, one in St. Charles, one in Galloway, and two on Crown Land out along the Salmon River Road.
  • There will be excellent presenters at this meeting, and they will be sharing a lot of of new research that you haven’t read about in the Irving-owned newspapers. Please bring a neighbour or friend to the meeting.
  • It is also an opportunity to hear how we can create a more livable world for future generations with renewable energy.
  • This will also be an opportunity to reconnect with local groups for the coming months of protection activity, if you so choose.
This tour has held dozens of town hall meetings across NB and many more are planned. It is organized by local groups concerned about health and environmental impacts of the shale gas industry such as Notre Environnement/Notre Choix and Upriver Environment Watch — who have joined forces with the Fredericton Council of Canadians, NB National Farmers Union, and the Conservation Council of NB, as well as labour organizations like Unifor, Canadian Union of Public Employees, NB Federation of Labour, and Fredericton & District Labour Council. The unions are on side especially because they are concerned  to promote safe and healthy jobs for workers, in sustainable NB industries.
ALL POINTS OF VIEW WELCOME.
NO QUESTION IS FOOLISH, and ALL OPINIONS WILL BE RESPECTED by the moderator.
